The Novartis Vaccines Institute for Global Health, founded in February 2007, is a research Institute dedicated to the translational research and development of vaccines for those diseases that are not receiving adequate attention, especially those diseases which are particularly devastating to developing countries.
NVGH has a non-profit mission in that accessibility to and affordability of its products are the priority and project selection is based on non-profit and non-commercial criteria, such as disease burden and unmet need.
It is located in Siena on the same campus as NV&D.
