TLS Foundation has taken a strong commitment to support applied research activities related to orphan diseases. Our final goal is to help people affected with rare or neglected disorders have access to drugs that they need to sustain and improve the quality of their lives.
Though TLS commitment will progressively improve in the near future, we put in place our first tangible action in this field, by opening a call for projects of applied research focused on the diagnosis, treatment and cure of orphan diseases.
TLS Executive Board, supported by an ad hoc panel of experts from biotech/pharma industry, has selected seven proposals, among the submitted projects, that will be co-financed for the next two years.
