Vjola Tusha

Vjola Tusha graduated from Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana (Albania) with Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology in 2021 and a Master in Molecular and Industrial Biotechnology in 2023. During her Master studies she visited the University of Perugia as an Erasmus student, where she worked at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and got trained in performing cytotoxicity and genotoxicity/antigenotoxicity analyses under the co-supervision of Prof. Massimo Moretti. She contributed to the first part of the project MAPEC_Gubbio, with a focus on monitoring the air pollution effects in children living near a cement factory, assessing the presence of micronuclei in buccal cells.

Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in Biotechnology at the University of Perugia under the supervision of Prof. Stefano Bruscoli. She is jointly co-supervised by Dr. Anna Kabanova the Tumor Immunology Unit where she studies metabolic alterations in the B-chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
